I'm making a custom box and I need to make a port using PVC pipe in the back of the box. I need full instructions lol. I'm a beginner at this. Here's the dimensions, 22.5" x 11.75" x 16.25". I would like it tuned to 33 hertz. Like I said I need FULL instructions on how to do this. Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

Also, little side note. I have a 10" Kicker l7 and it's the original version....yes from 2000. It still works really good, the only thing is that the subwoofer itself rattles or something in it rattles. It's done it in every box I've put it into. Any suggestions or ideas?

What sub? What size?
This is needed for PVC Diameter which is needed for PVC length.
10" Kicker L7, it's the 2000 version. IDK if that matters, but I think the RMS is different for the newer ones.

with the space contricts of that box your pretty limited with PVC

3 X 3" diameter ports would make it ~20 inches long for each

but with the size of that box at around ~2.4 cubic feet

If there is anyway you could make the box longer and stuff 2 4" diameters they would be around ~23" long

I just sent you a PM about this right before I read this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

in small ported boxes, slot is an easier way to go. i don't start thinking about using aero's until i get over 3 cubes. plus, pvc is not flared, so you lose the advantage of round ports. one of the reasons for using flared round ports is to be able to do less port area as compared to slot ports in the same size box.

So are you saying I should buy a flared port?

if you do round ports, then yes. straight pvc will lack port area. with a flared round port, you can typically do 1/2 the port are as a slot. i still don't use even flared ports on smaller boxes, unless it's a side fire truck box.
