Need help designing a box for 2 dd 1508's

The box will be going in the trunk of my 1998 subaru legacy gt.

Drivers: 2 CF-DD1508-D4 1500a

Amp: DD CM1 1000w @1ohm

Crude Trunk Dimensions: 36" wide x 36" deep x 16" high

Right now i have them wired down to 1 ohm with 500 rms to each sub in a pre-fab box that I purchased from amazon it's 1.1ft^3 per sub.

They hit alright in the current setup, but i expect more out of them.

I would really like the subs to have a good balance between SQ and SPL.

I was considering purchasing a design from PWK, but i'd like to save some cash if possible.

I listen to pretty much any type of music besides country western. I mostly listen to Metal, Rap, and Dub-step.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
