Need help deciding...

I have an amp that puts out 1200 watts rms @ 1ohm (concept Cc-d1200)and am looking for one sub. I am currently using an infinity sub which is not even close to being as loud as id like it. I have a lincoln ls and im using a sealed box.

Alpine type R 2ohm+2ohm or another sub?

Trying to keep the budget down. SQ is somewhat important

Ive heard 1 type-r in a ported box in a hatchback and it was very loud for 1 sub but im hoping it would be worth it in a sealed box and trunk.

If you want to go for mainly SPL and are looking to go fairly low priced id go with a pioneer premier 3002spl. they handle around 1000wrms and sound ok...keep in mind it's a spl sub though they can be had for around $150 shipped off ebay

I still want sound quality..i dont need tons of bass but i just want to make sure its not quiet like my infinity being only 1 sub

I had a kicker CVR12 in there and it was better..The alpine should hit much harder than that?
