NETGEAR POWERLINE

Dont know much about this powerline stuff? So just plug in and play? I know you have to have a router still right?
Ok if I wanted to play Ps3 online (Netgear and Linksys have usb adapters) I would have to buy a bridge ? or what would I have to buy that would pick up the wirless signal that has a lan plug in the back so I could play online?
Dont forget to look at Overview of products links go to Sepcs Thanks for you alls help
P.S. The router is going to be in the office room and my PS3 and PC will be in my room... The Adapters are USB connected so how would I get the PS3 to get connected? I need something that will pick up the signal from the router (Like an adapter) but with ethernet/LAN plug on it?? is it called a bridge?
Also someone said this "After reading on Wiki, 802.11n isnt yet finalized till november 2008, but there are products with it now that work. But honeslty, 248mbits on wireless isnt too bad, but still sucks on security, but of course there are ways to stop unwanted people...well, the ones who dont know much about wireless." Whats he talking bout? Wireless N no good yet? Should I just go with version beofre that "G"? I thought it was backwards compatible with both g and b?....
If you have any suggestions for what im trying to accomplish plz feel free to LMK
