Not sure that these are the "official" specs but these are the optimum enclosure specs

4-4.5 cubes tuned to 32-34 hz with 14-16 in^2 of port per cube. Lower tuning does well too but isnt really needed. My XFLs are tuned at 33hz and still hit low notes (sub 30hz) with authority

Were you happy with hdc3 15"? If so, you'll be happy with the AB. If you're looking to gain output, who not try two 12"s? What is your goal?

Just a idea but the obsidian 12 s are on preorder for 119 plus shipping. mine are on 1200 each daily but its not audiopoop watts. But they will sound great on that much power and will give u slightly more cone area than a single 15. The rec. Box vol. 1-1.5 sealed 1.25-2.0 ported at 31-35hz.
