need help deciding on 2 12s

If I were you I'd scrap the idea of 2 12s. You can get a nice single 15 for that price that would take that power.

Is it the APSM or the AP? The APSM only really does around 1000w clean if you're lucky and can destroy subs really easily if you crank the gain up and start clipping it. I'd recommend an American Bass XFL 15 - even if you throw a signal thats clipped all to hell at it, it's still going to hold up for a very long time. The XFL is very similar to an AQ HDC3, I believe a lot of the parts used are the same between the two.

I'd still go with an XFL 15 and have a little extra money to do something like deadening or some minor electrical upgrades like the big 3 if you haven't yet
