Need help choosing the right speakers

I work for a company called Harman who makes brands like JBL, AKG, Harman/Kardon, Infinity, etc.

If you go to Car Audio | Harman Audio you'll see most of these items are on sale! As an employee, I get an extremely generous added discount on these items and want to take advantage of it.

I know almost nothing about car audio.. what to choose, how to install, or what amps or components I'll need. I've been doing as much research as I can but I feel like I need help from someone with knowledge of the subject to help me make the right choices and buy everything I need.

Here's where I could use your help..

If you could build the best car system possible (from the items on the linked website) what specifically would you choose?

This includes:

  • Speakers
  • Subwoofer
  • Amplifier(s) (if needed)
  • Other necessary components (wires, tools, etc.)

Money is no issue. I'm going for the best possible system.

My car is a 2003 Honda Element.

I did a quick search and found the speaker sizes in the car.

Front: 5-1/4"

Rear: 6" x 9"

Font door: 5-1/4"

Back door: 6" x 9"

or you can go to the link in my first paragraph and select the make, model, and year and it will filter out the speakers that won't fit in my car.

Any information or guidance is greatly appreciated! I know I am asking a lot here so feel free to tell me to f**k off. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

There is no 'best' system bro. But if you want to know what I'd do with zero budget restraint.......

2 DDZ 18s on 2 Zapco ZX-10KDs

Rainbow comps and Sinfoni amplifiers

XS Lithium power and Singer or Mechman alternators

LOL I just thought about how retarded expensive that would be.

First thing in car audio

Knowledge > Gear

You can have the best stuff in the market, but if you dont know how to do proper speaker placement, acoustical treatments or tuning properly with a digital sound processor along with subwoofer enclosure design a lot more... All your highest dollar equipment will sound like sh*tty flea market stuff.

Haha thanks for the suggestions, but I'm specifically talking about the products on the page I linked in my original post.

Kappa components and the JBL 12s I guess. TBH I wouldn't run that equipment even if I worked there. The Kappas are good but for the money there is so much out there. But if you must use that stuff then may as well go all JBL since they make the amps too. 2 JBL 12s, 2 JBL 500 amps, and fill your stock speaker locations with JBLs that fit the factory holes. Then the 4 channel JBL amp for the mids and highs.
