need help choosing an amp

I just bought two kicker l512's, and they're 4 ohms each, i'm wiring them down to 1 ohm so i need a good d-class amp that's 1 ohm stable, my first choice being the hifonics bxi1210d, but i see people running the same setup or less powerful setups with the more powerful amps in the brutus line, such as the bxi1610d. can somebody explain to me why this occurs or even recommend a good setup?

yeah but that's 900 watts under what the subs are rated at. my question is what would be a good option for running em at maximum wattage
No thats 600 more watts than your subs are rated, l5's are 450rms each and the ap1500 puts out 1500 rms hence 600 watts of extra power

true true. also, planet audio's site says the ap1500 makes 1500 watts max, 1000 rms. kind of also confused me too. the whole process of running a system safely seems confusing lol.

Not planet audio, audiopipe ap1500d, they are rated at 1500 rms and do rated,I had one one a Fi Bl 18" and it was a great amp.
