need help choosing a comp set

i dont know much about speakers so i figured id ask you guys to help me out. i need to upgrade from my stock speakers asap. im wanting to get 5.25 components, and they're going to be powered by a orion 3002 (150@2x2...75@4x2). im looking to spend about $150 on the new set. i know this is pretty vauge but i dont what else to add to my post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif . any other questions just let me know.

edit: it would be nice to get a set from ikesound.com since i live about 35 minutes away from there ware house

heard alot of good things about polks. i have alpine type r components and they are ok. wish i would have gone with polk though.

i always heard good things about the phonex gold components.

I own a pair of 5.25 pioneer REV comp and if they were in kick pannels they would be absolutly amazing with midbass... stock door locations FTL

in that price range have you considered CDT or maybe you could even find some OZ for that price not sure thought. If you want to stick to mainstream I would be of no help to you. Pm 6spcoupe and ask him about the CDT and OZ stuff. If you are willing to up your spending just a touch the Rainbow SLC'S would be a good choice as well. happy hunting.

Those are not bad. You just may like the MB's. I ran the q series once upon a time. I am just not big on buying from unauthorized dealers. It is killing the industry.
