im kind of debating on a few different things lately but i cant really decide...
-I kind of want to be a cop, for a few different reasons.

-I also think being a fire fighter would be kind of cool to, my next door neighbor is one, and i have a cousin that is one as well.

-Lastly i love welding, and really have wanted to make a profession out of it for a while, and actually id really like to try and get into underwater welding as they make REALLY good money..this is the one im really leaning towards.....

if you had to choose, what would you do?

thats what my girlfriends dad does. he owns his own business. if you plan to do that....get ready for an *** kicking job. its not fun as youd think. and very expensive. the dive hat he wears was alone 7k and evrything is expensice for under water anything, because business knows, if you need it you will buy it, kinda like gas. but trying to work in any way underwater, fighting current, using your eyes for hand because you cant see any further then 12" in front of your face for a few hours at a time...ill let you figure that out. you better be one hell of a welder and know your way around underwater before you think about it. very dangerous work, he was a navy man and enjoyed diving and anything aquatic so long story short here he is.

not trying to talk you out of it...i just would hate to see you try it and hate it because you didnt know what it was really like. hes having a website being worked on right now with pics and stuff of what he does and ill post up when he gets it done and see what the "real stuff" looks like, not the sugar-coated bull sh it that you have probably saw.

me personally, i am going to school hopefully this fall to become a welder, im just gona stay up here on land. and like a guy told me a week back "you wont become rich from welding, but youll always have a job" or somethin like that. just a thought man. sorry for the long post but if you want any info i can for sure find out from him.

Well if you like oppressing people and have self esteem issues, along with overextending your finances then being a cop might be up your alley.

A fire fighter is a EXCELLENT job, it's the largest frat in the world, but your are helping people when they REALLY need it most, getting paid well and a nice pension.

welding is cool as well but it's not going to school that's the big deal but finding a place where you can apprentice (like a rod & custom shop or whatnot).

dont need college to be a good welder

my dad has been welding for a long time (20+ years) im sure he has many certs and what not but no college

he makes about $80k, great money for him he is very modest and saves his money
