Need Help Choosing A Blu Ray Player...

I currently have a PS3 that im fixing to sell. Im looking into a regular Player. What should I look for to compare and keep the picture I have with the PS3? Im looking into the Samsung BD-P1500 or the BD-P1600. I just dont want to loose the picture I have with the PS3. I dont even know if it will make a differance, I would think as long as it is a 1080p I would be good. But im not sure, I need some help from knowledgable people. Thanks in advance...

I am in the same boat as you, I just picked up the samsung bd-p3600 and love it. The pandora and netflix options are cool. It also recognizes my ipod classic ao I can control my music through it. I also have the bd-p1600 in my bedroom and it does the same stuff.

yes selling my ps3 as well, no loss in picture just a little bit slower load time, talking seconds here really. I love samsung products though.
Great, I think u answered my question...
I just dont wanna loose picture quality. Load time isnt an issue, especially if its only a few seconds. Thanks

the Sony S-550 is has the same blu-ray hardware that the PS3 does just not all the other features that the PS3 has.
never played with a ps3 however we have the sony s-550 and it is pretty bad @$$. love that thing. just dont like how when you press the menu button to see how long movie has been playing and how much time is left it only tells you time left on blue rays. that's the only thing i dont like about it but not that big of a deal

from what i read, looking into one soon, the ps3 is the best, i read somewhere that a guy working at a high end audio/video store tried a bunch and now he has 3 ps3's in his house, he doesnt play any games at all, but if the sony one mentioned above use the same stuff then i would go that route, i would look into things like software updates though, isnt the ps3 wireless? so if the others are not then you would have to unhook it and hook it up to a router i guess
