Need help building a box

Im looking for some suggestions toward making a box for my two Pioneer's. They need between .5 and 1 cu.ft. of room each. I was wondering what thickness of wood i should use, and im guessing it should be ported? Any help is appreciated, thanks

.75 mdf. ported =louder, sealed=quality

ok for a ported box these need between .8 and 1.6 cu.ft. I heard somewhere that included the subwoofer displacement but that sounds like bull****. Im making my box 1.2 cu.ft. each so a total of 2.4. I also heard that the sub's displacement is .4cu.ft., can anyone that has had or has these verify that?

You can by going to Pioneer's website and downloading the specs for you exact speaker model. Your speakers are not the only one's Pioneer makes. You have not even said what size they are.

The magic 8 ball says .14 cuft displacement each for your mystery subs.

I was not able to find the displacement. Check Pioneers website. If you cannot

find it; just use .16-.18, you should be okay.

im just going measure them and get a rough estimate once i get them. I have time to wait since i need a new car first anyways.
