Need Help/Advice With SubWoofers + Amp Technical Details..?

what would be a better, cleaner more efficient setup for my equipment..?

2 Channel amp with 250-300 watt RMS at 2 Ohm on each channel.. setup in parallel on each sub..

Or a Mono Channel 500-600 watt RMS Amp setup like this..

were are you finding this rated power listing at..?i dont see anything about rated power on that amp you showed me..?

how can you tell if an amp does rated power..?

Its not on there. Do you honestly think a company would say hey our amps are over rated and dont do what we claim.

so what brands do i need to look for then..

There are a ton of good brands. Once your around here long enough you will start to see a trend in whats good and what isnt. Just a short list: Eclipse, Diamond Audio, Sundown, Incriminator Audio, DC Audio, Arc Audio, there are hundreds of them.

Not all Sony is junk. The Mobile ES line and older XM line are both great amps and would pretty much stomp anything by todays standards.

Depends where you look. I could post up a dozen links right now to old school Sony XM amps.

what about this sony amp here Amazon.com: Sony XM-GTX1302 GTX Series Amplifier: Electronicsit says it can Deliver 400 Watts x 2 at 2 ohms

if I ran each sub separate in parallel on the 2 channels would that work..?

or would it be over or under powering my subs...?

Just try to stay away from any brands sold at walmart Sony, Dual etc
