Need Help Activating ESN on CD8443

I just bought the Eclipse CD8443 and i am having trouble getting the ESN light to blink. I have programmed the ESN feature, and have followed the directions on getting the light on but it doesnt come on how do I know that I have the ESN activated.

The silmpist test is to disconnect the battery and see if it locks up.

From 8443 manual.

1: With power OFF, press button [2], then [Funct] button and hold both for more than one second.

2:[iND. FLASH] or [iND. ----] appears on the display.

so ind --- is off and ind.flash is on.

I believe the flashing light is something you need to set up. It is defeatable. It isn't something it is necessarily always flashing just because ESN is enabled.

My lower model's default is with the indicator on. I interpretted his post as esn may not be on, but in reality he was asking about the light. Either way it works now
