Hey, i have a Escort ZX2. I have a $500 budget, I need a HU, rear 6x9 and a 6.5 comp system..what do you guys reccommend. The HU i was leaning towards was the Alping 9825, that's about all i picked out so far. Thanks!

Far as componet speakers go,people are most happy with the cdt's there onsale right now at thezeb.

For the 6x9's i would go with the Alpine Type R's there 109.00 on sale at http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/63

The hifonics zeus 4 channel amp to push your 6x9's and 6x5. It costs 193 plus shipping

Which on thezeb the shipping is free so i can't figure in your shipping costs at ikesound but without shipping your total is 451 then you should figure the cost of wire so you should have just enough.

My friend is givine me his RF amp..he had it for a year but barely used it..it's a 50x4...would that be good enough?

Yeah 50x4 would be great for those, plus you now have money to maybe get a better HU or somthing like that. Also RF is underratted so you should be getting a little more than 50x4

awesome..and he's giving me his to 10" subs...they about 2 yrs old..between the HU and the amp..i'll be ok to power everything up..right?

Well the CDT's put out 90 watts rms per speaker so thats 180 for the pair,then you have the type R's put out 50 watts rms per speaker so its 100 for the pair. So so far we have 280 watts rms for all the speakers,then your hu if you get that 9825 will only put out 18x4 watts rms. So that leaves you 8 watts short but that isn't a problem but there is no way you could power that 10 inch sub also with it. What i would do is get your speakers and save up money for a 2 channel amp,was that a mistype when you said"to" did you mean"two" im just curious if its just one sub or two so i can check around for some cheap prices on a amp for you.

BTW what is the rms watts for those subs?

sorry haha...TWO (2) 10" 500watt rms subs...but he's also giving me a 4 channel 50 watt rf amp.

So each sub is 500 watts rms or combined its a total of 500 watts rms? Find out the specs on that amp like how many watts of rms its giving out at 4 ohms and 2 ohms but chances are that amp won't be enough power. Just curious whats the brand and the series of your subs?

Well I personally would put the CDT's and the Type R's on the 50x4, the CDT maybe 90 watts RMS but trust me 50 watts will get them screaming. If you can I'd try to squeeze a decent amp for the subs, I think those subs are HE2's but im not positive. If they are HE2's then anywhere from 250watts and up would get them moving nicely, go ported if you can.

If you can, aviod using your HU for powering speakers.

Just looked up the RFP1210 for you and they are not the HE2's they are the old school Punch DVC from 99-00. Derfinitly port these woofers if you can and get a good size amp for them if you can make the money happen. These woofers can take some serious abuse. I had a pair of 12's with a RF 500a2 on each, it was one of my first systems actually. Came out the same year that the first HX2 came out with the indented dust cap, back when RF subs looked bada$$.
