I'm fairly new to car audio and am puting a sub in my trunk of a 2003 gt convertible mustang. It is a kicker L5 10" in a ported box. I don't really know where to begin looking for an appropriate amp. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks! Joey B

The sub takes 450w RMS and 900w peak, and I right? Aim for something between those two numbers and you will succeed. Lot's of people like headroom, but the manufacturers recommend those numbers to keep average joe from frying his gear.

What's your budget?

I would like to keep it under$200 at most. Someone told me about the Profile AP1000M and i have found the Kenwood 9102 or soemhting like that. any other ideas? I read reviews on the profile and for $100 it doesn't seem so bad...
