need battery help!!!

ok i got a scion xb.. ill be running 2 12" alpine type r's running 2 hifonics 1606d amps. and i dont no what to do about electrical??? I can buy a 180 amp from iraggi, which i will proablly do. but i dunno what batterys to run with this setup? what would be the cheapest way? thanks tim

I think a 2nd battery would be fine. I'm pretty sure the Scion has at least a 80 amp stock, which along with a 2nd battery should be more then enough for a Daily Driver since ur just running the 1606. Also don't forget to do the Big 3

get a nice starter battery, like an optima or kinetic something or other. Other than that, grab that alt, do the big 3 and wang away.

scion has 90 amp stock alt.. so u saying i should get 180 amp alt and 1 battery under hood and none in back?? or stock alt and 1 in front and 1 in back??thanks tim

i would do the 180 amp alt with a kinetik 1400 or an 1800 under the hood 2400 in back and call it a day lol

i really dont wanna spend 400 on alt.. 180 for a 1400 and 275 for a 2400.. that shit adds up

3000 watts on a 90 amp alt? and you want to be loud often...takes power to make power and quality isnt cheap. sure the batteries can cover heavy demands but they need to recharge and if you are constantly bumping it hard they will eventually die reguardless what battery they are. Volts x Amps= Watts

im getting a kinetik hc1400 and i got a deal on hc2400 so i think i might so with alt too..either 180-200 amp

i think the 1st guy thought u were only running 1 1606, but if 2 ur definatly gonna need something special

im not advicating spending the most money what i am saying is to get something like that and spending the time and work on it you are far better off doing it all right than to have to keep coming back trying to make it work better or having to stop charging batteries daily.

Well.... I can really relate to this..... I just put 2 12" Type R's and 2 hifonics 1605d's in my truck..... And holy crap was it loud.... yes i said was! I was running it off of a stock alt and 2 normal everyday batts .... first day it was crazy loud.... then it wasn't so i put a 3rd batt in there and it wanged.... the next day it didn't... so i through a cap in there and it did great for about 10 minutes.... I said all of this to tell you that your going to need to drop some cash no matter what... I know it sucks thats why i got on tonight... To find out what i need to do...
