Need another amp?

I posted the other day but i have more knowledge about my system and I have a new problem now. I have a AIWA CDC-X227 head unit, Jensen JXP 460 amp, 12' Sony sub and (4)Polk Audio DB570 speakers in my 99 Mustang. I realized the amp is only powering the sub. Its not capable of handeling 4 speakers and the sub at the same time. The speakers still distort at semi high volumes even with the bassstoppers but the sub sounds great since it was wired wrong and i fixed it. Would a second amp for the speakers solve the distortion r would i need a better HU too? Also if I did just need the second amp like I think I do would I just run wires from the output of the first to the new one and then to the speakers? Would that be satasfactory or should i go another route? THANKS!

a 4 channel would way better suit your needs. however that aiwa HU doesnt help much. . . I would start with a 4 channel. . whats your budget?
Not much. The system was in my car when i got it and im in college now so dont have much spending money. Would the second amp for the speakers solve the distortion at the higher volume?

Will def. Help! although if you go too cheap on the amp you might still get crappy results. . . give me a number and i'll find something that will def. be worth it. Or are u lookin to buy used?

Used will prob be best for me. I dont need anything fancy just something that will give me good results. Could I get something for around $50? Im sure i could on ebay but i dont know what i need.

What size wiring do you have to the back? You will have to for sure make a run of RCA's up to the HU and speaker wire from the wiring harness that connects to the HU and direct it to the amp. so 4 pairs or speaker wires to the back. . . I can draw you a diagram if you need it.
My amp has a RCA through output. Could i just connect that to the second amp. I have the RCA from my HU hooked up to my amp. THats all from the HU i think. The other is ground, power and then the rem thing. The speakers can i just run wires from the second amp to them?

i just saw that your HU only has 1 pair of RCA's. THis marks a problem because now you cannot add 2 more for your RCA's. 4 channel = 2 pairs of rca's (4 total). What your gonna have to do is run more wires. . . . and buy more equipemnt like a LOC. In your situation I would save up. . . . buy a New HU that has atleast 2 pairs if not 3 pairs of RCA's then it will be easier to have a 4channel and that jensen. I am not too familiar on how to correctly wire 3 pairs of RCA's into 1 input in your HU. and Yes u could run cable from the speakers to your new 4 channel but its much easier to take the wires from the front of the car (where all 4 meet to the HU) and just make one huge run. . . get what im saying?
Yea I understand. I have to figure out what route i want to go with it. Thanks for all the help!
