Need an amp to power 3 Alpine 10in type R subs

Hi guys,

I don't know much about car audio stuff so I wanted to post on here to get some information so I don't get ripped off at a store. I had a Rockford Fosgate P3002 but that died a while back and I finally have money to get this working again. I was thinking about buying an Alpine MRP-M2000. Would this be about the best bang for the buck? Also is it simply taking off the wires from my old amp and putting them in the slots they fit into on the new amp? Or is it possible I might have to rewire something?

Thanks!

Well I think I can go to the car audio place I originally bought them from and ask them tomorrow. Is one better than the other? Because I remember I had the more expensive version if that helps at all.

If they are all dual 4ohm get a 1 ohm stable amp..Wire all 3 to .67 ohm..With imp rise you'll clear 1 ohm easily. I ran a power acoustik a2400db to my 3 12's and it was nuts.. I stole the amp at only 120 bucks..Puts out a true 12-1400rms...But any 1ohm amp between 1-1500rms should be good for you. Check out the audiopipes if ur looking for a good amp at a very fair price.

Okay so they are all dual 4 ohm but I was wondering what the big difference is between different amps with the same wattage. Is there that much noticeable difference in sound quality? And if so is the power acoustik a2400db one of the better ones?
