Alright I had 2 12" kicker comp subs (lower end) Im pretty sure they run 4 ohm a piece, single coil. And my amp is going bad, so my question is what is a good amp to grab for them. Some dude at an audio place told me I should get an amp at 300-500 RMS for the both of them. And I'm assuming I'd prefer a 2 channel amp for the both of them but i'm not completely sure. So if anyone can point me in the right direction of one I'd appreciate that, thanks.
Here's a perfect match for the subs: Kicker DX250.1 (11DX250.1) Mono Class D Car Amplifier you don't have to spend 250 bucks. All you're needing is something that does 250-300 @ 2 ohm. If I were you I'd go with a decent 2 channel like this: Pioneer PRS-D800 300W RMS 2-Channel Class FD Car Amplifier Then when you upgrade later (which you inevitably will) you'll have a good amp for your front speakers and can upgrade the sub amp. These are just a couple options. There's a ton of amps you could use for your needs.
