Need amp suggestion

Hey, I am purchasing two 12" Alpine Type R's to replace my rockford he's and I was wondering what a good amp to power these would be. I have a friend that has a rockford punch500 amp and I was wondering if this is a good amp for the subs or if there is another amp that would push these better for that price range.

well # 1 are these the dual 4 ohm models? or the dual 2 ohm models, and are they the 300 watt rms subs? or the 500 watt rms subs, after you tell everyone this im sure they will be able to help you better

Im hoping to get an amp for right at or below 250. I know this is kind of low but its all I got to go towards an amp because I'm only gettin 100 out of my 1000 watt Sony.

consider searching ebay? i've seen some crossfire vr1000D's and cadence z1200's on ebay in that price range.

yeah your best bet is probaly to wire them @ 1 ohm and push 1000 watts or so to them, my friend has 1500 going to them w/ the gains set and everything and MAN do those things pound //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif but you could try the i recommend the d1200.1 http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2424 189.99 refurb pushin 1200 watts @ 1 ohm set your gain correctly and you should be ok
