What sup I've finally finished wiring my car this my first time doing a full all out system install; now I just need to connect everything. I have a 4chl JBL gtq400 amp with witch 2chanels I wanna use for my mids and the other two channel for my twetters. Can some one please look at the owners manual and share their advice on how to set up this amp for this configuration.

http://manuals.harman.com/JBL/CAR/Owner%27s%20Manual/GTQ200-400%20om.pdf

I also need some tunning advice particularly with setting my LPF/HPF slope.

And lastly I'm running 0 gauge wire to a distribution block from witch I originally planned to then run about a feet or less of 4 gauge wire to my AQ and JBL amp but now my JBL amp doesn't take 4 gauge wire. My ? now is can I safely run 12 or if I can get a thicker wire that can fit into the amp safely from my distribution block.

Get the next biggest size that will fit into the amp.

as For setting the 4 channel, a general easy to do tune would be to set all the settings on your head unit to how you like em, with the gain down on the amp, turn your head unit volume about half way, or to how you would normally listen to it, then turn up the gain until it sounds good ( highs, mids and lows) then you can mess with the other settings, it really depends on what sounds good for you

you could also use a multi meter, you would have to get the rms of the amp which is 75x4 watts rms so thats like 18 watts per speaker, then find out what your speakers rms is

turn all the settings on the head unit down, use a multi meter on the -+ on the amp speaker outputs, have the head unit up about half way, and start turning up the gain while watching the multimeter, and ocne the meter gets to what your speakers rms is stop there

Standbackimapro thanks for the response, I will use the multimeter method by any chance what setting must the multimeter be on to do this?

:help:Can someone advise on where my LPF & HPF slope should be set for my pg6.5rsd components? I using a pioneer 880prs head unit.

Sorry for all the ?'s but I'm a noob and I've been doing this on my own without any professional help except the info that I get from you'l. :graduate:s
