I need an amp to power 2 rockford fosgate power hx2's they have rms 1000 each at 2 ohms and peak 2000, and I want to get one amp to power both of them. I was wondering what people out here think. I can spend a little more than $400 but I don't want to spend too much more. Thanks for the help.

I was hoping to stick with one amp for now and maybe two later. What do you think of the Rock Fos 1000.1 BD?? I figure it might be able to push the subs. I'm not sure if it will or not. I am kinda new in car audio and am open to suggestions. Also, my car is kinda old and I will probably need to upgrade my alternator if I get 2 amps. I should be able to handle 1. Eventually I will have the money to upgrade the alternator and anything electrical that needs it, but I just can't do it right now. Any other amps out there?? Thanks.

Seriously, if you dont get the JBL amps, then for the price you're not gonna get enough power out of any of the other brands.

If you are willing to go a good amount under RMS, power acoustik or planet audio could be good choices?

the rf 1000 amp is a good amp, but it isn't giving you the power you are looking for.

you can either buy the rf amp, then save up more money for your alt, or you can by the JBL 1200.1 and have money left over for whatever purpose. the RF is better quality than the JBL amp, but with a budget system you can't go wrong with JBL.
