Hello Everyone I am the proud owner of a 2000 xlt extended cab ranger truck and I'm in the process of upgrading my sound system. So first time poster here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Anyways I have decided on getting the one following sub with an 1.25 cubic feet capacity enclosure.
Pioneer 12" TS-W307D2|D4 sub(leaning D4):
Maximum input power 1200 W
Nominal input power 400 W
Frequency response 18 - 500 Hz
Sensitivity (1W/1m) 89 dB
Woofer material Composite IMPP™ cone using Interlaced Aramid Fibre
Voice Coil bobbin type Phenol resin coated glass cloth bobbin
Magnets Double Mass High-Power (83oz)
Recommended Enclosure 0.85 ~ 1.75 Cubic Feet
Ohm Rating D2: (1 or 4 ohm) D4: (2 or 8 ohm)
I'm confused about the two versions. Which one will run off a 2 ohm mono amp x 1? Pioneer doesn't seem to have any instructions online //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
The current amp I'm looking at using with the sub is as follows:
Profile HA700M
mono subwoofer car amplifier
350 watts x 1 at 2 ohms
variable low-pass filter (50-250 Hz at 12 dB per octave)
selectable bass boost (0/6/12 dB at 45 Hz)
variable subsonic filter (20-50 Hz at 12 dB per octave)
variable phase control (0-180 degrees)
MOSFET power supply and output stage
preamp- and speaker-level inputs
preamp-level outputs
fuse rating: 40A x 1
14"W x 2-1/4"H x 9-11/16"D
Also one last question is it better to run 2ohm or 4ohms for subs?
