I purchased an almost brand new alternator from a neighbor. It is an Iraggi 200amp amputator series. It "supposedly" came off a 1996 Yukon, which in turn, should also fit on my 1999 suburban. Well, the problem is that the little plug(harness) that plugs into it does not fit. The plug on the alternator itself, is a square style plug, while the one on my suburban is an oval style. The plug on my suburban has only one wire, going into that harness. I found a plug that fits the alternator at advance auto, but it has 3 wires. any chances i can still use this alternator on my suburban? I havent tried to bolt it up yet, but the alt did come with an extra bracket, which im sure allows it to fit other applications. Also on the back of the alternator, theres a big, looks to be stainless steel, lug on the back. It is not tha post labeled battery. Is this a ground post? any help would be appreciated. thanks alot, Ed
