Need advice with kicker

Hey everyone, just getting into this addictive hobby and was hoping you guys could help me out here. I'm going to buy an amp and sub from kicker at a really good price.

What I'm looking for is good bass you can feel but not enough to need another battery. Do you think these are a good option? 1 15" L7 or 2 cvr's that should put out about the same amount of power, it also gives me the option of 2 ohm or 4 ohm but don't know about that. Was also thinking the 08zx1000.1 amp with 1000 wrms. This is going into an 01 acura tl. I've read that the kicker enclosures aren't that great so maybe just the speaker and worry about a box later.

Any help is appreciated and if you guys know better combos let me know but it needs to be kicker (because of discount).

thanks

Check your electrical and number of amps you alternator pumps out. Also you might wanna upgrade your battery up front, maybe a yellow top or Kinetik. 1000wrms might not sound like alot, but each car reacts differently

If you're getting the L7 dual 2-ohm sub, which means you can wire it to either 4-ohms or 1-ohm. If you get that amp, you're only gonna be pushing 500w RMS, because the sub will have to be wired to 4-ohm since the amp isn't 2-ohm stable. It'll bump but it won't be as good as it could be.

If you wanna really push it, you need to find an amp that pushes around 1000w RMS @ 1-ohm. You can probably find one for cheaper than that Kicker amp (it is a good amp though).

However, if you're set on the amp, get the 4-ohm sub (wired to 4-ohm or 8-ohm) and wire it to 2-ohm. Then you'll be at 1000w RMS from the amp and pushing the sub to the max //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Correct me if I'm wrong, assholes of CA.com, but I'm 99% sure that's correct.

if your looking to save some cash you could get a Audioque 1200d for 249 shipped brand new directly from AQ, but youd need dual 2 ohm so it could be wired to 1 ohm. i Just got one for my 15" L7 and its a great combo, very loud even in a trunk car.

Now will doing this cause distortion?
