Need advice, please

I have a 98 Dodge Intrepid, two 15in' kicker comp subs, an after market stereo, and a 1100 directed amp 5-channel.

All i need is the installation, originally i was going to get a capacitor and a wire kit along with that.

Well, i went to best buy, an employee told me i shouldn't need a capacitor, since my alternator and battery are good stock items. He recommended that i should get a Rockford Fosgate RFK4X 4 gauge wiring kit, and i should be good. The price of the wiring kit is $105.99 plus tax there, i found one on the internet for $85 including shipping. He also told me that they will install everything for $70. So please, tell me your opinion.

Additional information: Due to the 5 channel amp, both of my subs will be going into one outlet from the amp. Those are the only speakers that will be hooked up to the amp.

Um buy a 4 gauge kit online they are alot cheaper, u dont have to buy rockford fosgate, theirs alot of good 4 gauge wire kits out their, capacitators only put a larger strain on your battery, if I were you I would get a second battery, but you can get away without one for a while. Paying them 70 dollars to hook everything up is a rip off, do it yourself its not hard...

Thank you for the advise. Installing it is easy for you, i for one, do not know shit about this, hence is why i'm coming here to ask all of you. Sure, i can look up installation guides, but it's still a pain in the *** to hook up. Also, you said "but you can get away without one for a while. " I'm not risking anything, nor am i going to wait until something goes wrong, i could get a new battery, but i also heard that isn't the best idea. I'm told so many different things, i need one direct answer.

I decided i'm going to get a 4 gauge wire kit and installation from abcwarehouse.

The wire kit they are going to sell me is about $50, installation roughly $70, about a $130 for professional installation and a wire kit.

Sounds good to me. What do you think?

You'll be fine with just a decent 4awg kit. Got that same amp laying around

75x4 at 4 and 600rms at 1ohm IIRC

Good little amps :)

And maybe I missed the car, but you do NOT need an extra battery for ony 600 rms - unless you're in a freaking Geo Metro or something
