satx120, jealous?
I got the rl-p in the car, on my nine.1 at 2 ohm. I realized why I liked this woofer so much again. It feels so much more warm. It kicked the hell outta my se's on tones, you could tell by ear. at 40 hz range it got loud, but at 51 and 52.....it had to peak there im sure, everything in my car was rattling at that point, and this is with a slit surround.
Now to the real point of this post....TC Sounds obviously had something to do with this woofer, and I am thinking of sending it in to them for a fix. Should I just get it back to new, exactly as it was sent, but with their signature "silver" cone. I dont know if I would go titanium, or the other way. I don't know if they could even do that for me, as I think they recone as full top assemblies. So that brings me to my next point..........the TC2000. Is it much different than the rl-p? I may go this way, or the recone to new, I just cant quite make up my mind. They both have the power handling, but I think in a ported box (thinking 4 cubes at 30 hz with a plug at 45 hz) I could put closer to 1000, and get some **** good numbers, and really good daily use out of this driver. Which way would you guys go, rl-p fix, or TC-2000?
