I don't know too much about car audio but i was looking toward getting 2 12" subs or 1 15". What brands do you guys recommend? Kicker? Alpine?

Also if you could tell me what amps to get with what subs etc. i would be very grateful. Thanks!

Id say go with some very popular brands on here for instance DD, RD, Fi, RE, DC, AQ, and many others, Whats your price limit and whats the goal for running these IE SPL, or SQ. Also what amp are gonna push these will help also

heres the formula, take up the biggest amount of space you can, figure out how much you want to spend, and try to spend about the same on the amp as subs, usually a little more on subs than amp. build your own box or have one built by a forum member and it will be louder than all your friends.

What type of vehicle and how much of that room are you willing to give up?

I have a 2001 dodge dakota SLT and im willing to give up my whole back seat

I want to try to spend no more than 250-300 for all the stuff i need

and yes im looking for some kick *** bass

Well depends what sub you go with. If you get a type R id give it 700+ watts and it should be loud. What kinda vehicle?

I would do two Crunch GPV 12D4's on a GPV 2000.1 at 1 ohm with a constant 14.4 you get a little over 1100 watts RMS so they will sound good for a basic system and not hurt your pocket book:
