need advice but don't bother if you hate newbs and cheap off brand BS

I have a used Fusion I can sell you for a good price.

As for the enclosure, instead of making it smaller, I would use a precision port or PVC pipe and make it ported. You will get more from what you purchase don't that then anything.

I think I have a Cache LOC sitting here as well. I can check, but if I do I can make you a good deal on the pair.

oh one other thing to kind of explain where I am coming from. A long time ago, I had a regular cab ford ranger. I had a pioneer HU and door 6x8s (all from walmart). Then I had a Boss 150x2 (grossly over rated I'm sure) amp. It was bridged and driving a cerwin vega 8 inch sub in a small sealed enclosure. The enclosure actually starte dlife as one of those pathetic Roadmaster 20 dollar full range truck boxes. I removed the highs, covered one opening, reinforced interior and install the vega 8. In my opinion that system sounded amazing. I had to reglue the rearview mirror once. So you can see my expectations are lower...

Yea, with your expectations being lower then what most would consider "average" i think just adding your Pioneer amp and a decent sub-woofer and you will be just fine. You can even get by that cheaper LOC if you really want to. I would still suggest porting your current enclosure. I think you would be very impressed with all that installed.

I kind of want to use the punch 4 way amp and just use 2 channels. It seems underrated and pretty strong. Both amps have high level inputs but i dont have the plug in cord for it and i seem to remember not liking high level inputs much due to poor sound quality.

Agreed.

OP, get one of these. Just cut a hole in that box and jab this bad boy in there after you secure the mounting rings with tape.

Precision Port 4" Flared Port Tube Kit 268-352

oh and on the porting suggestion, I have used sealed in the past and always thought it worked great. I have a book for designing boxes that gets into all of the formulas for calculating port diameter and depth, but I guess i am to lazy to figure it all out. Maybe I will use 2inch pvc, on the same panel that the sub is mounted in, and experiment.

I would also suggest keeping your OEM and maybe buying some sound deadening for your doors... I think this would be a much better idea instead of just dumping money into something that may sound better

I would try the box as it is before making any changes, otherwise you don't know if the change was an improvement. IMHO, I think that porting the box would be a better choice than trying to make it smaller.

On a budget Craigslist would be the first place I would go to find great deals.

Good luck and have fun.

I would also suggest keeping your OEM and maybe buying some sound deadening for your doors... 25sq ft should be enough and I think the difference will be big. I think this would be a much better idea instead of just dumping money into something that may sound better

buy a kicker comp and port that box to that subs spec run it with the pioneer then use your other amp for your highs but turn the gains down and keep your factory speakers that way you will have more for your sub make sure your factory speakers are 4 ohm if your going to amp them
