so tomarrow mourning ill be doing a small install for a friend in his girlfriend's 2000 honda accord.

question is what is the best way to remove the stock HU? removeing stock HU's has always been something that takes me some time and is a pain in the ***, so i want soem advice on how to get it done quickly and correctly.

also ill be looking at walmart for thier dash kits. i forget if its civics or accords that those walmart dash kits are made for, hopefully accords.

lmk guys

you need a screw driver and a flathead screwdriver with masking tape over it so that you dont scratch anything

-theres 2 screws under the black bezel.. takes those out

-then, remove the clock with the flathead by lightly prying the clock at an angle.. its NOT held by ANY clips so it'll pop right out.. disconnect the 2 wiring harnesses on the back of the clock

-after removing the clock you'll see a another screw.. move that

-now with the flathead screw you'll need to lightly pry from the top right and top left of the black bezel.. they ARE help by CLIPS so it'll more difficult than the removing the clock.. but it should be fairly simple.. the bottom part of the bezel isnt attach by any clips so it'll slide right out once you unclip the top part of the bezel

-after removing the bezel disconnect the other 2 wireharnesses from the Climate Control board

-now you should have everything out of the way and only have the stock 6disc or single CD player attached...take a look at the sides and you'll easily see its being held by a couple of screws.. remove those and it should slide right out

-i tried removing mine with a screwdriving but ended up almost stripping the head cause it was on so tight.. if you have a rachet wrench it'll be x10 easier to remove
