Alright guy's i need some help please last post i said bout this i didn't get much feedback i really need some help with this i got 2 12's audiobahn 500 watts a piece here's the specs of em

(RMS) - 500 Watt

Input Impedance 2/8 Ohm

Speaker system input impedance 2/8 Ohm

I got 2 of em and there in a bandpass box with plexi glass on top with 4 port holes idk if that matters but i want to try and find a 1200 watt amp for around $100 to $130 any suggestions any one

Alright so whats a good price around i Saw this Rockford Fosegate 1200 watts the punch series one at Best buy for $150 what you think is that a good price?

Alright sounds good i think i will end up getting that one my one friend told me to get a audiobahn amp cause it would match my subs and sound better just wondering is that true ?

alright but what if it was peak whats the diffrence never heard from any of my friends like what the diffrence is they just buy stuff and put it in me i like 2 learn bout things that way i will know how to do it again

RMS is the actually number of watts the amp puts out. Peak is, well the peak amount of watts the amp is capable of. Ignore peak wattage all together. Look for how many watts RMS the amplifier is pushing.

with quite a few manufacturers, peak = output possible during a 1 microsecond transient while being struck by lightning, draining the power supply and frying the board... like the 2400 watt Blitz Audio amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Just a correction, matching the amp with your subs (brand) will not help or hinder performance. It is product dependant, meaning that it will defer from model to model.

haha nice , alright so what would be some good amps to go for i want to get a 1200 watt amp here is the specs of my subs

(RMS) - 500 Watt

Input Impedance 2/8 Ohm

Speaker system input impedance 2/8 Ohm

I want to try and keep the price either around $150 or $180
