Need a ported design for 10w7

It's going in a Grand Cherokee. I'm thinking about just getting a 500/1 and running a single 10w7. Might upgrade to two 10w7's later, and upgrade the amp to a 1000/1... but for now, you think the 500/1 would be perfect for running a 10w7 ported? I know ported kindof requires more wattage than sealed if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, I'm completely noob to ported enclosures as I've only worked with sealed in the past, and if any of you could give me a pretty good enclosure design with specific measurements for a single 10w7.. that would be cool. I've already seen the one on JL's site, but the measurements weren't all there. Or maybe they were and I just missed it.. anyway, any help would be appreciated.

that amp is the perfect match for that sub (used to have that same set up)

but, someone please correct me if i am wrong you can use less power to push a sub ported.

No, actually, sealed enclosures require more power per said output level. If you still need a design, PM me and we can see if we can't work something out.
