Ok, so to produce 3000 watts of constant power you will need 96 amps of current availible extra from your alternator. Lets assume you have a large v-8 car or suv with a 130 amp alternator. Just to run your car and your "amp" you would need a 240 amp alternator, not to mention upgrade ALL of your charging system, not part of it some of it but ALL of it. Since you are in OHIO I would recommend OHIO Generator as they make a killer alternator. They seem pricey, but not as pricey as replacing amps, batteries or your ecu and they stand behind your product provided it was installed by one of there dealers or professionally. BTW I didnt pull the 96 amps out of the air, I used ohm's law.

Ive been looking at batteries and I went to a local business call bulldog battery where they recommended "CL" batteries i think is what they called them... they have them there for $55 each reconditioned with a warranty... i also found this online

You guys think either of those would suffice, if so how many would you recommend?

I also found a local place that rebuilds alternators and i found a stock one for my car for $20 so im going to see if they can rebuild it to the needed amperage.

You will just dumping money into a temporary fix. I would recommend saving up a bit and just buy the nicer stuff that is industry tested and warrantied. I used to due the $55 batteries because they were cheap, but I was buying almost $800 in batteries every year. I saved up and put Stinger batteries in and they lasted 4 years for the same $800 dollars. I've been down the same road with the alternators too.
