Need a good amp to power SSA XCON D2

Ok, my CT Sounds 1400 is in protect mode and unsure why...had the amp a little over a year now so I don't think its cover under warranty anymore. Already PM'd CT sounds on FB with no response so gonna go a different route. What's a good amp out there that is straight up efficient under 2000 RMS that is under $500? Thanks
