well if detroit puts rasheed and mcdyess on the floor, shaq has to guard one of them, and like i said, it would most likey be mcdyess, who can knock down open jumpers and take shaq off the dribble. mourning in his prime but up similar numbers to mcdyess. mcdyess had injuries that limited his playing time. when mcdyess actually played a full season, he was a 20-10 guy and an all-star. mourning is a better shot blocker, but mcdyess can hold his own defensively. hell in game 5 he had 11 rebounds off the bench and even blocked a 3 point shot. flip only won 64 games and had the best record in pistons franchise history so he must **** balls. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif a larry brown team went 7 against new jersey in the same fashion, and didn't sweep anybody. maybe you didn't watch the last heat game against the pistons, where wade goes off bickering to the officials while hamilton scores and easy layup. who said wade is a good defender? also you must not of watched the chicago series where miami's peremiter defense was getting lit up by hinrich and ben gordon. those 2 do not equal a richard hamilton and chauncey billups matchup. also last year under stan van gundy, the heat with shaq and alonzo a lot.

I'm sure if I went through pistons tapes, I could find one instance of every piston complaining about a call and while complaining they cause a lapse in defense. That doesn't make you a poor defender. Honestly come up with something better than one instance, everybody makes mistakes on defense and offense. Hinrich and Gordon don't = a Vince Carter or Jason Kidd either, yet Miami blew by them. Miami is going to live with certain players getting points, the idea is to keep the others from scoring. Wade and Shaq are going to get there pts, there's nothing Detroit can do about it, they can only hope to limit Walker, Williams, Posey, and Haslem. The heat got Zo late last year, the first time the two went on the floor together was near the end of the season, and we are talking about Pat Riley here, not Stan Vangundy. Flip coached the pistons to 64 wins...you're right, but that wasn't his team. A larry brown led Pistons team wouldn't have dropped 3 in a row. Say what you want to say, but the Pistons aren't as good as they were last year, and even if they do make it past the Heat, they won't beat Dallas.

Apparently you don't pay much attention either. The Detroit Pistons have 3 championships so we can and already have the right to talk. However it seems that its always Heat fans doing all the talking.....meanwhile they haven't won ANY conference championships, let alone an NBA championship.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
WTF are you talking about? The pistons have 1 ring. Lol, is Thomas and Dumars going to come out of the stands and suit up? The Pistons have 1 ring, when and if they get 2 you can start talking, just like people did when Shaq and Kobe were winning.

actually the pistons lost 3 in a row to new jersey in 2004 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif also rick carlisle was the one who layed the ground work for this team. he was the one that turned them from a last place team, to a 50 win team, and instilled the defense in them. new jersey doesn't have the front court detroit has.

Nope, they're better.
Yeah that's why they went the full 7 games against the cavs. In fact we wouldn't even be having this conversation if the Cavs would have made that one crucial offensive rebound. Who did the Cavs have? Just Lebron, nobody else, their second star Larry Hughes wasn't exactly in a state of mind to play. But the pistons are better. I can guarantee they won't win a championship this year.

It won't matter, because they can't stop Shaq and Zo.

1 more then miami. also the last 2 times shaq exited the playoffs, were at the hands of the detroit pistons. who is injured on miami? someone has to be injured so they can have a scape goat.

You can just fuck yourself with an iron stick "know it all". We'll see how it plays out on the court.

actually if detroit would've made a shot here or there, it would've been a 5 game series. why did miami go 6 against chicago? then get blown out by new jersey in game 1? detroit can bounce back just as easy as miami. actually i like this situation. all of the sudden nobody is picking the pistons and that is when they play their best.

Im almost pretty sure it doesnt matter since the mavericks will win it anyways and im not just saying that to be a dick but phx, det, and miami do not match up with the mavericks too fast and too deep. yeah that almost f'ed it up against san antonio but they still did it.....If san antonio would won I would have said the same thing they phx and det wouldnt beable to match up with them either

detroit can match up with them. ben wallace is very atheletic and can guard dirk on the peremiter. even put tayshaun prince on him

LMAO.....Nobody is picking them yet they are favored by 5 1/2. You really have no clue. I'm not saying Miami is going to beat them, but I just don't see them beating the Mavs. I will say that if the same Pistons team shows up that just played a 7 game series with the Cavs, that Miami will run them over.
