Wow big whoop the Pistons have been to the Finals for so many past years..

They East has sucked for sometime now..

Sides the Mavs will have the Pistons starting 5 in foul trouble by the end of the half...

and the Mavs bench can outplay anything Detroit has..

Actually the Mavs have a poor bench. Their starting 5 play a lot of minutes and the bench doesn't contribute anywhere near as much as Linsey Hunter and Antonio McDyess can. Not sure where you're getting your facts but you're wrong again.

Detroit will have more trouble against Miami than Dallas or Phoenix...so when this series is over, and detroit comes out on top, you will have already crowned your champion.

if cleveland was out west they would have the 4th best record, same as the east. this same starting 5 has been to 3 straight conference finals, 2 finals and a championship, so that proves that this team knows how to get it done. don't know of many other teams who can go to there bench and get a former 20-10 guy. before the knee injuries, mcdyess was a star in this league. hell on most other teams he'd be the starter. everybody talks about how will the pistons defend shaq and wade. who is gonna defend detroit? is wade gonna defend hamilton? wade is poor defender and what makes it worse, is his constant movement and do you think wade will wanna use so much energy on the defensive side, to chase him around screens? if you switch wade on prince, that is a clear mismatch as prince can back him down. then you got haslem defending rasheed, and rasheed if he is willing to work down low has the advantage. then if miami goes with shaq and alonzo, detroit can put out mcdyess and rasheed. no way shaq will defend rasheed on the 3-pt line so that along with mcdyess ability to make long jumpers spreads out that miami defense.

didn't wanna make my post too long, but yea they got hunter on the bench who can pressure the ball and get up in wade's face. hamilton is also a good defender and can guard wade, and they also have prince who can match up on wade. detroit also has a lot of big bodies they can use to defend shaq. you got ben wallace, rasheed wallace, dale davis, and even calvin cato, hell you might even see mcdyess on shaq. miami does not have the outside shooting they had a year ago. loosing damon and eddie jones hurt. wade and shaq will always be in the paint so those 2 would get good looks from outside. also eddie jones was very good at defending richard hamilton. also who is gonna guard chauncey? jason williams or the "glove" does not match up well.

Poor? Last time I checked he gets praised for his defense. He's 6th in the league in steals and avg's close to a block per game. Apparently you don't pay much attention. All you people from Michigan think the Pistons are the greatest. They've only won one championship, when and if they get two, then you can start talking. On to your analysis of the game. well if detroit puts rasheed and mcdyess on the floor, shaq has to guard one of them, and like i said, it would most likey be mcdyess, who can knock down open jumpers and take shaq off the dribble. mourning in his prime but up similar numbers to mcdyess. mcdyess had injuries that limited his playing time. when mcdyess actually played a full season, he was a 20-10 guy and an all-star. mourning is a better shot blocker, but mcdyess can hold his own defensively. hell in game 5 he had 11 rebounds off the bench and even blocked a 3 point shot. flip only won 64 games and had the best record in pistons franchise history so he must **** balls. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif a larry brown team went 7 against new jersey in the same fashion, and didn't sweep anybody. maybe you didn't watch the last heat game against the pistons, where wade goes off bickering to the officials while hamilton scores and easy layup. who said wade is a good defender? also you must not of watched the chicago series where miami's peremiter defense was getting lit up by hinrich and ben gordon. those 2 do not equal a richard hamilton and chauncey billups matchup. also last year under stan van gundy, the heat with shaq and alonzo a lot.

Apparently you don't pay much attention either. The Detroit Pistons have 3 championships so we can and already have the right to talk.
