The NBA sucks now man. As soon as Jordan was out it all went gradually downhill from there. NCCA is where its at. go UNC!

They dont put big names in the dunk contest becuase they think its unfair to the over looked players, IMO, if you're good enough to get attention then you should get in it. Vince, Lebron, Kobe and players like them should always be in it.

I can guarantee that if Lebron, D-wade, Kobe, and Dwight Howard offered their names the league would jump at the chance. the dunk contest officially got lame and unwatchable last year with the whole Superman phone booth crap, and the previous year when howard won with a layup (when howard tried to jump from the foul line but threw the ball in as opposed to dunking). then this year when the ever so hyped shannon brown did a typical alley oop and got points for it, that killed it for me. used to be my favorite part of all star weekend, but its been a let down for quite some time.

Vince carter cant dunk like he useto anymore, so him in the contest isnt a big deal, neither can Kobe. Lebron, Josh smith, Dwight, JR Smith would be a good one IMO...and for the guy that said jordan wasnt that good, your out of your mind!!!! Kobe is the best player in the NBA right now and he tries so hard to be like MJ!!!! I was a Pippen fan but I know MJ was the best!!! in his prime and in kobe's prime, there is no comparison.

Next year I want to see Lebron, Kobe, Dwight Howard, and Nate Robinson. It will never happen but it would bring some kind of excitement to this thing.

Technically he is correct. By todays Standards, Jordan is average. But the game/era Jordan played in isnt the same as today so you cannot go by todays standards to judge him. Jordan is one of the Greatest players of all time. I don't like how the game in general is played now a days. Too much whining, ticky tack fouls, the way offensive fouls go. I used to try and watch as many games as possible when I was younger (pre 2000). I enjoyed watching it then, now I watch the Suns and Raptors. Even at that it pisses me off, hah.
