Where are you guys putting your Navigation antennas (inside or out)? Also, I bought the adapter plug for my truck. My question is should I soldier or butt connect the wires between the two plugs?

Do you have a picture of the adapter you're talking about? It's not a good idea to simply solder or use butt connectors on coaxial cable.

As for antenna placement, try to put it as high and in the clear as possible. Roof-mounting would be preferred...

The adapter that plugs into the factory harness. It has about 12-14 16ga wires that need to be joined to the plug that plugs into the radio.
