I installed a system into a buddies car...

CD5000, RF 4 Ch, JBL 1 Ch, 4 Fosgate speakers, and a kicker sub.

sounded EXCELLENT.

Some ***** stole te deck and cut the kicker 4 ch. wires so we replaced them with mid level Tsunami's.

We replaced the deck with a Pioneer 860 (New)

Now whenever we change the station (presets), change the source, turn the volume all the way down, etc there's a nasty big pop from all the speakers (Don't kow 'bout the sub yet)

we put in some noise supressors but those are a stupid fix. any ideas?

Yeah, all your problem is grounding... the best place is under the seatbelts bolt, in contact with the car´s body. Remove some paint to make sure perfect grounding.

About the HU, dont trust on the factory wiring, the ground is shared with other car´s equipment and causes interference. Launch your own wire from the battery + your head unit and amp, and the - to a steering wheel column bolt, or another similar ground.

If you have also an EQ in your dash or other equipment, ground it in the exact same spot of the radio, to prevent ground looping (the cause of the hummmm and buzzzz).

The gauge of the + wire must be the same of the -, I dont know why some people uses a #0 + wire and a #12 -, thats funny
