i just bought a kicker zx 1000.1 amp and ive narrowed my sub choices down to 3 differnt subs. with a ideal box what one would be louder? whats would you choose and why? the three subs are

1) dd 2512

2) aq hdc3 12

3) re sx 12

id say the sx cause its right where the power is right the hdc its a lil low on watts i dont have any experance on the dd so i cant say on it.

2512, i have a 2510 that i ran on 1k and it was quite impressive. the aq would need more power to reach its potential and the re imo shouldnt be put against the other 2.

Have u ever ran an SX before?? Off 1k-1500 watts the RE SX will be on par if not louder than the other 2.

I went from a single 15" RE SX to a 15" AQ HD3 off 1500 watts and the SX was only .3db behind the HD3 off the same power. If it was 1k watts then it prolli would have been even closer because the HDC3 is more power hungry and will require more power to get louder. A Better comparison would prolli be - DD 2510, RE SX, FI Q or SSD, and AQ SDC2.5. All are in the same general power range.

id choose either the DD 2512 or the re sx 12, the aq i think would not perform well for the power. i have heard nothing but great things about the DD 2512, however im not sure how it would perform on that much power compared to the SX12, which pretty much thrives on that amount of power.
