I like mine, the Alpine 7897, although I did pay over $500 for the **** thing in July, but I think it was well worth it. I love the fantomface, and its never skipped on me or anything. You can get it for like 400 now, I think its a good buy.
it's referring to the subwoofer crossover point, meaning you can adjust the freq. at which you sub will hit at right from the drivers seat instead of trunk.....wq's are easy to set.....just set it to how it sounds best to you, fill in what missing or take away what has too much basically....
i know how to use the eq, but that crossover sounds pretty good. but i thought that i would just set it at the proper freq and leave it alone. is there a point to changin it?
thats how mine is too......my kicks are set up to hit 150hz and up, the midbass are setup to hit 150 hz down to 70hz, and the sub does 70hz to 30hz....every cross over point is set on the amps themselves, except the subwoofer crossover, the eq does that....then i use my eq to get it the way i want it to sound.....
im assuming it just changes the frequencies that are sent thru your sub level pre-out. either that, or does the exact opposite thru your front/rear preouts.
