i was wondering what companies who used to be good but now has lost there luster some that come to me in the early 90s everyone out my way were rocking pyle,boss,earthquake,zuse what others can you think of

Sony, definitly sony. They had some really great equipment. There mobile ES line was a step in the right direction. The C90 is still an extremly competitive headunit.

They have now thrown substinace out the window for flash.

I think Rockford Fosgate has lost their touch a little bit. I used to love their amps, but, I have two brand new 1000d's and I have had nothing but problems with them. Ive heard that their head units are alright, but nothing compared to a comparable Premier, Eclipse, Alpine, etc. I do like their speakers though, they sound pretty nice to me. Subs...loud, loud, loud - especially Power HX2's...need to improve on SQ with at least one line of subs anyways.

i think PPI went kind of downhill with their amps. now their amps are made oversea. still good amps, but quality is not up to par with the older ones.

I think Lanzar is LANZAR has gone right downhill. I was a premier brand in the early 90s, with there opti drive range. Then the bought out all there vibe range etc. the Opti Drive range is still amongest the best but I think the Lanzar name is being used to sell cheap stuff mead in korea.
