I havent heard these decks yet and need some input on them. Can someone give me comparison to other decks they have used. Right now I have a Alpine 9815 and I am not to happy with it. Right now I am thinking of the Nak unit or a DRZ9255. I know the Nak doesnt have any processing and the DRZ has alot. I am running passive fronts with just a sub. I dont use much processing.

I have the Nakamichi CD 400. It has great sounds and looks incredible. I put in in my 1988 BMW CSI. It really works with the look. If you are looking for a bunch of features and versatility then Nakamichi is not for you. It also skips more than the average CD player. To me the up side still outways the negatives.

Had a cd45, &400 for about four years.

BIG SKIPPER!!!!!!!!!!!!

NAK'S are N0 FRILLS, which is exactly why I loved it.

My vehicle was broken into twice, they never took the unit, and it was by far the most expensive piece I had(not a well know item among ameteur thieves)

Did I mention that it will skip if you sneeze too hard.

SKI------P S------------------KIIP--------------------------PIDY----------------SKIP

CD500 is a fantastic sounding deck, every bit as is the cd400 but with more features(mp3, more colors..). As far as skipping goes...you'll find MANY high end 'audiophile' decks suffer from this, not just naks. It comes at the expense of a fine, precision based reading mechanism. If you are relying on audio from memory of an anti-shock mechanism, then its not the deck for you. SQ is the name of its game, no frills.

+1 not to mention Nak stepped up their game for '06 offering a direct over the coun ter exchange rather than shipping out for warranty If a problem should arise. Doesnt sound to me like their anticipating alot of returns otherwise I highly doubt they would have implemented this.

The P9 is not known for skipping that I've ever heard.

How is the MB-X?I checked it out and didnt see an I-Pod connection--

hehe:)

OVER THE COUNTER exchange is probably enough to get me to try em again though. That's HUGE.

I wish I would have threw it in sooner. Its not coming out of my car Anytime soon if that gives ya a feel of how I like it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
