I might be able to convince the woman to let me put one in her vehicle.I love the simple and factory look.

Flashing lights and neons with dolphins and chrome don't exactly go well with the dashes of a lot of todays new vehicles.

There is a setting to turn off the internal amp.

Pre outs are :

front

rear

sub (has control -10 - +10 in settings on deck)

I definatly want to go ot the CD700II. I did however hear side by side witha CD-400 and I personnaly could not tell the difference. Some folks might, maybe Iw oudl be able to if i had a good chance to listen to music I am familiar with also.

I definitely agree..MP3's and sound quality don't necessarily go hand in hand...It's a Nak and it capability of playing MP3's gives me the flexibility in the event the wife needs to here one of her CD's....so you see we both end up a winner.....

Aux ins are available, correct.

I wouldn't trust an online dealer for a product like this. Typically they use the bait and switch method and get you to buy something else because they really don't have it in stock.

I've had a CD400 in my car for the last 3 years, and I can't say enough good things about it. Awesome deck, great SQ with the no BS look to it. I loved the fact that I get the 'Is that the stock deck' comment so frequently, blended perfectly with my VW's dash.

Alas, I needed a deck with more features to simplify my install so I opted for the new 880PRS which resides in my car now.

Regardless, if anyway is interested my CD400 is for sale for 225 (+ 3% for paypal) + shipping. They still go on ebay for 250 + shipping used all the time, so this is a good deal //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

I have had 3 nak hu. cd35z, cd45z and cd400. great sounding units. I went active so went with a 880 also. I needed more processing or I would have stuck with the Nak

Same here. I was honestly scared that I wouldn't like the sound of the 880 at all compared to my Nak, but after tinkering with the x-overs/eqs and getting the TA about where it needs to be, I'm soooooo glad I made the decision to switch.
