Keeps it really real.
What would be the different in using a mono amp to power aftermarket 4 aftermarket speakers opposed to a 4 channel amp? I'm aware of the power differences, but for example using a mtx 250 watt mono amplifier to power components as opposed to running a 60 watt x 4 amplifier

Any mono channel amp is designed almost specifically for subwoofers. 250 watts would be sufficient to drive a single 10" or 12" like a JL w0 or a cheap Pioneer, etc. The budget-conscious usually use them.
