hey i have a 9815 hu and an old alpine 2channels amp connected to the sub out of the hu and finally a 12" sub connected to the bridge of the amplifier...
well the thing is i was using the balance to test the front stage speakers and i found the sub to die as i moved the balance to the right... but it worked perfectly if i moved it to the left... well i thought the right sub pre-out had been killed or soemthing.. but then i reminded the sub out on the HU was set to mono as well as the amplifier was set to mono...
so i started playing with the amp and the hu settings... there are two settings possible for the sub out in the hu (MONO and STEREO)... and on the amp there is MONO, STEREO and 1+2....
i was thinking, which one should it leave it on?
i noticed if i don't set the amp to mono it accepts input on the right chanel input... does it make a difference from any of the settings possible? i wasnt able to testify and increase, but at least amp stereo didnt let the sub die when i moved the balance...
any recomendations?
