speaking of which, and sorry to the op for getting off topic...in theory, if u had like one of the slash series amps from JL, you wouldnt lose any power to rise? They are like 1000rms at 1.5-4ohm at 11.8v - 14v or whatever. So say if u wired to 1.5, and rose to 2.5, you still get your 1000rms?

Yes. Unless your box rise went more than 4 ohms then an amp style with even power through all ohm loads would be the only way to beat box rise. I dont believe anyone makes anything like that for the higher power range like 2K and up though.

Some JBL amps do more power at 4 than at 1, so you could gain from rise, haha.
