My Weekend Project. ( pics! )

Cool man. Thanks a lot. And uhh....you might want to have your coolant flushed haha. Or does your 03 come with that newer Gold pisswater stuff?

And if you got any questions about modding the other areas of your car, hit me up. My car is lowered 1.5", so there is no way I'm getting to that other wire....

Hey fellow 3.8er's, how did you deaden your doors?

Did you cover up those big holes in the door panel with plexi? I have one door deadened but couldn't think of a way to cut the plexi to fit the irregular shapes. I just deadened over them but I'm second guessing it now.

Yeah, what kind of midbass are you getting with two layers of edead? I have rev's in there now with one layer of damplifier pro and I'm not too impressed. With the sub on it sounds good but with the sub off the midbass seems weak. I have some rsd's i can throw in but Idk if it's worth the trouble.

They have pretty decent midbass. Nothing amazing, but for what they cost on ebay they sound extremely good. Today is my planning day. I have to go to work in a bit. Tomorrow will be my work all day time. I'm off work and will have a friend to help out.

And man I hooked the amp up in there on the current subs just now just to test it. It definately puts out more power than my T10001BD did and it's wired to 2ohm atm. So 0.5 should be loud. I will say though this thing is hungry as hell. Definately don't even try to run one without an HO alt+ extra battery. I don't have the extra battery in yet and it was working on my 200amp alternator hard even at 2ohms. Car was idleing though.

It shouldn't make much difference. Theres a ground going from that same piece of metal to the engine 3 feet away. Thats also where every stock ground on the car goes.

Yeah I didn't have any dimming with the old amp. We'll see on this one. I appreciate the input though. I'll take all the help I can get. I'm far from a pro //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Actually no ... most big 3 descriptions say negative on battery directly to chassis, alternator positive to battery positive, and engine to chassis. All short as possible.

I did the same thing on my stang, just haven't gotten to the engine to chassis one yet.

Question for you box building pros. In a false floor in my Mustang, how should I mount the ports to get loud/sound best.

1.) Subs inverted - ports up

2.) Subs inverted - Ports back

3.) Subs inverted - ports forward

Still not done as you can see. It's loud and gets **** low though. Ended up at 32hz tuning.
