hahah you don't get it do you? if you put two midbass in the center, you are going to get little separation. yea sure the left midbass will play left midbass and right midbass will play right midbass but since the speakers are so close to each other, essentially its in mono. and hence, as said 34588090283490 times, your imaging and soundstage will just go to shiets.

we should just let him try it and let him find out for himself. he seems to want to do it.

I think he is talking about the KDC-X679 as I cannot recall a non-eXcelon having that model number. I thnk he just left out the 'X.'
